2024 Cadillac XT4 - Analysis & Review!
It’s been a while since General Motors (GM) refreshed its venerable Cadillac, the XT4, but a much-needed facelift sees the 2024 Cadillac XT4 sporting a new hi-tech interior. Plus, some svelte and long overdue bodywork upgrades.
Notable Changes From the Previous Year
Under the skin, the Cadillac XT4 2024 remains the same. But it’s the reworked, aggressive modern styling that sets this year’s model apart from its previous models. Cadillac hasn’t gone overboard, but taken together, they breathe new life into what might have been viewed as a fairly staid SUV offering.
Infotainment and Technology Features
GM has been generous when it comes to the infotainment options available in the XT4. The 2024 Cadillac XT4 features a clear and crisp 33-inch infotainment display, which seems to stretch for miles across the dash. Users of Android phones might recognize the interface. It relies heavily on Google's ‘Android Automotive’ software.
However, Apple users need not feel alienated; both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The TX4 now comes with 5G Wi-Fi as standard. Plus, audiophiles can opt for a crisp and powerful 13-speaker AKG stereo system.
Exterior Design
The 2024 XT4 is the sum of its parts as far as exterior styling is concerned. Drivers also have the choice of some new wheel designs, but it’s the bodywork changes that draw the eye.
The result of a new front fascia, a few cosmetic changes to the back end and some lighting elements taken from GM’s Lyriq electric SUV (and some features from the larger XT6) results in an SUV that radiates pint-sized aggression.
Interior Comfort and Cargo Space
The XT4’s dash is a delight, with the faux leather finish pleasing to both eye and touch, but there is plastic in abundance. That said, when it comes to space, the Cadillac is more than ample for those in the front, while the back has enough legroom to make any journey a pleasure.
Cargo space is plentiful, too. You get 637 litres of cargo space with the seats up, and when folded, you’ll get 1,384 litres of space to use.
Engine and Performance Features
If you’re in search of engine options, then the XT4 is going to disappoint. There’s only the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, making 235 horsepower available with a 258 lb-ft of torque.
Fuel consumption is adequate, with this SUV sipping 10.0 L/100 km in the city and 8.1 L/100 km on the open road when in FWD. Engaging all-wheel drive is going to make the SUV a little more thirsty.
